But I don't have the recollection of the excitement for it the way Pac Man had. So while the game was worse, the disappointment factor was much higher for Atari's Pac Man.

(They would eventually get it right with Ms. Pac Man)DGBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01302995272029761401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8350642370729096785.post-28817558267185893462010-05-26T23:49:58.763-04:002010-05-26T23:49:58.763-04:00Daddy Geek Boy-- What a good son!

At least compared with the worst 2600 game of all time: E.T.

It had a bug, and no matter how hard you tried to avoid it, you would always fall into a pit from which there was no way out. Awful, awful game. But it wasn't all bad for Spielberg movie games. Raiders of the Lost Ark was pretty rad.Marshalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07444928977781912680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8350642370729096785.post-25086963602437477862010-05-26T18:53:50.598-04:002010-05-26T18:53:50.598-04:00I had a TI 99/4A, so I didn't even have access...I had a TI 99/4A, so I didn't even have access to 'real' games. I just the pathetic knockoffs of the pathetic knockoffs.

That said, I don't even remember the name of the game. It was some D&D rip off that I had to use both cartridge AND a cassette tape. I figured something requiring THAT much data must be good. I spent maybe two hours 'walking' through various hued dungeons. I might have played it twice.Russhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05585098301634584827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8350642370729096785.post-36888701403516656782010-05-26T15:09:54.041-04:002010-05-26T15:09:54.041-04:00I have pretty much the exact same story. I had a friend over when she brought it home and putting in the game for the first time and realizing what a colossal piece of shit it was, but trying not to let it show in front of my mom--who had wasted countless hours of her life to get it for me--was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

(And I've quit smoking)DGBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01302995272029761401noreply@blogger.com
