The Arthur Remake

When I heard that there was a remake of Arthur in the works, I was concerned. Dudley Moore is hilarious in that film. I watched that film over and over when I was young, which, come to think of it, is kind of inappropriate. (Thanks mom and dad!)

Then I heard that Russell Brand and Helen Mirren were in the film and I was intrigued. I actually think Russell is VERY funny and Helen Mirren rather rocks my world.

The first trailer was just released and I have to admit, I laughed. Several times. And it's nice to see Jennifer Garner getting goofy.

Will you go see Russell and Helen in Arthur?

Spoof in the City

I LOVED Sex and the City! But when the movie came out... meh, not so much. At the scene where the "girls" all threw themselves on the bed, giggling, and holding their martinis aloft, I suddenly felt like I was watching Slumber Party 3: Revenge of the 12-year-olds. When I heard Sex and the City 2 was coming out I had to stifle a groan... and a nagging curiosity.

See, my love of the series leaves me conflicted. This about sums it up perfectly.
