Pac-Man: The Movie

This shouldn't be cool... but it is.

If it were real, I'd spend some money to see it.

Forget 8 Proof, Here's 8-Bit Beer

Tallgrass Brewing Co. has an 8-bit beer on the market. I have no idea how this tastes. But I know the packaging speaks to me. And makes me thirsty.

8-Bit Google Maps

Yesterday was April Fools' Day and the web was full of people trying to pull one over on everyone else. One of my favorites came from Google, who usually pull a few gags on this date. This year, they released an 8-bit version of Google Maps:

The Smiths Meet Super Mario

Some musical genius had a notion to turn a song, "The Charming Man," by the Smiths into an 8-bit song. He's calling it "Super Morrissey Bros." and it's hilarious genius. Check it out.

I think I'd love to hear something by The Cure done up like this. Anything you'd like to hear getting the 8-bit treatment?

First Look: Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope

Ooh! A new Morgan Spurlock film!

Coolest USB Drive Ever?

I am a little obsessed by USB computer accessories because they come in all kinds of crazy shapes, most totally useless. Do I have a purple USB lava lamp for my computer? Yes I do. So I've seen a lot of random and cool USB drives, but today I think I've found the coolest of them all.

Introducing the Voltron 2 GB USB drive:

Here are the specs:
  • Perhaps the coolest USB drive ever made: Voltron!
  • Articulated head and arms.
  • Chest lights up with data transfer.
  • Includes: Blazing Sword!
  • Blazing Sword can be held in hands AND feet!
  • Comes preloaded with a full episode of the classic Voltron cartoon - remastered, for your protection.
  • Dimensions: 3.5" tall.
At $36.99, is it insanely overpriced for a 2 GB drive? Yes. Do I still want it? HELL YES. I think maybe I need a Leap Day gift. Form blazing sword!

Remember last year when we told you about the Super Mario Bros. Converse that was only available in Japan?

Guess what?

Nintendo and Converse have once again teamed up for another shoe. Sadly, it's also only available in Japan. Curses!

They Need To Take This Act On The Road

In case you haven't been paying attention, the easiest way to get on Culture Brats is to do something that involves Super Mario Bros. Are you listening, up-and-coming bands? Mustaches and overalls for your next music video!
