Psyched? Here's "Street Lights:"With an origin of Knoxville, TN, this alternative rock trio by the name of Ramsey has left everything behind to start their full-time music career in Boston, MA. They just announced their recent signing to SwitchBitch Records (3/1) and already have their first EP, entitled You've Got a Lot of Heart, Kid, due out March 15th, 2013.
These genre-defying 6 tracks present a unique blend of inspiration, citing influences from Bayside to Four Year Strong.
Ramsey assembled in July of 2012 when Alex (drummer) and Chris (bassist), who were in two separate bands, ended up at the venue that Nick (guitar/vocals) had booked shows at. They all hit it off, began playing music, and it was none other than their first show that got the attention of musician, studio, and label owner Michael Abiuso who immediately brought them up to Boston to begin working with them.
These boys recorded 5 songs for the EP at Earlygrayce Studios (Louisville, KY) and did an additional track at SwitchBitch Studios (Boston, MA/Brooklyn, NY). With the April 1st release, you can expect to see Ramsey on Warped Tour. They are preparing to follow up with a full length this summer and will be touring full time come fall.
