Describe your music for our readers who may not be familiar with you.
I would say it's music with good melodies. I don't wanna focus on what kind of music I do. It's my own music.
Who are your musical influences and idols?
I listen to a lot of different genres of music, so I have a lot of artists that I love. For now, on my iPod you could hear some acoustic stuff like Charlie Winston and old disco.
What was the first album, cassette, or CD you bought with your own money?
Let's talk about the video for "Thank You Very Much," which features thirty nude actors and yourself. Were you uncomfortable at any time during the shoot? Did any funny accidents happen on set? Were you surprised it was initially banned by YouTube? Are you surprised with the amount of attention it's received so far with over 2,000,000 views?
Well, I remember that just before the set, it came to me that it can be a bit uncomfortable. So there was this 15 minutes of "How am I gonna deal with this," but when the whole thing started, it was more relaxed than I expected. Those guys were amazing, they made me feel comfortable. The way they accepted themselves was something beautiful for me and taught me a lot. During the shoot there was a lot of funny situations, but my favorite one was after many reruns on the scene with the guy knocking the cup out of my hand with his penis. I felt like I should say something. I said, "Nice penis-acting," to which he replied proudly, "Thank you, I've been practicing." SAY WHAAT!!!!
When it comes to YouTube, well, I don't find this video provocative, so yeah, I'm kinda surprised. But on the other side, I'm so happy that numbers are still growing up. :)
You're currently working on you album. What can you tell us about the album? How far along are you?
Right now, we have over 10 songs but we are still working on new stuff. Recording this album is a great journey for me. I still discover myself, I still keep surprising myself with some new ideas when it comes to music. I have a great team, great producers, so I'm more than sure that it will be something huge... at least for me. :)
In addition to singing, you're also a respected fashion blogger. Who are some of your favorite designers?
My favorite? Recently, I think Jeremy Scott, Balmain. But I love shopping in vintage stores, it's so inspiring.
You're the opening act of a music festival. You can get any five artists, living or dead, to perform on the bill with you. Which five do you choose and what song do you all perform as the final jam?
Hard one! Stevie Wonder, India Arie, Tupac, Jarle Bernhoft, and Michael Jackson. Damn, that would be awesome. Song? "Better Day," Dianne Reeves.
