Seven Questions In Heaven With The Yetis

Today we're spending Seven Questions In Heaven with Allentown's The Yetis!

Describe your music for our readers who may not be familiar with you.
Nick (rhythm guitar): Poppy surf garage rock.

Christian (lead guitar): Vintage indie rock 'n' roll pop.

Stefan (bass guitar): Surf indie rock.

Patrick (drums): Guitar pop.

Who are your musical influences and idols?
Nick: Buddy Holly, The Beach Boys, Arctic Monkeys.

Christian: Elvis.

Stefan: David Bowie, The White Stripes, Smith Westerns.

Patrick: The Beatles, The Smiths, The Strokes.

What was the first album, cassette, or CD you bought with your own money?
Nick: Room On Fire by The Strokes.

Christian: Dookie by Green Day.

Stefan: Elephant by The White Stripes.

Patrick: Laundry Service by Shakira.

What was the strangest gig you've ever played?
Nick, Christian, Pat: We just played a private Ivy League Christmas party at a rented-out bar with free drinks. We were the band hired to play covers for 40 couples in dresses, suits, and Santa hats. We played really fast and loud and lots of people were dancing, which was cool since we were playing songs by Chuck Berry, Mac DeMarco and Arthur Alexander. Then we started to play "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift cause it's just four chords but we didn't plan it at all beforehand. We played it early on and that was the peak of our show. The girls loved it so much and everyone wanted more Taylor Swift or for us to cover R. Kelly or something but we didn't know anything else!

Stefan - I was in a band with Nick in elementary school and when we played in front of the entire 5th grade class I was forced to use an electric guitar without an amp.

What's the first thing you look for when you hit a new town?
Nick: I usually like to hit up a chain restaurant to get a taste of the local cuisine.

Christian: A hookah lounge or a nice park.

Stefan: The bathroom.

Patrick: A place to hide from all the fans.

What is your current favorite guilty pleasure?
Nick: One Direction and Taylor Swift.

Christian: Iggy Azalea.

Stefan: The Sonic Highways miniseries.

Patrick. I haven't really been listening to anything that bad lately.

Final question: You're the opening act of a music festival. You can get any five artists, living or dead, to perform on the bill with you. Which five do you choose and what song do you all perform as the final jam?
The Ramones, The Jackson Five in their prime, Buddy Holly, The Tokyo Beatles, and a hand-picked all-star group consisting of Muddy Waters and whoever's dead from Lynyrd Skynyrd on guitars, the drummer with one arm from Def Leppard, fat Elvis on bass, Jack White and Jack Black on background harmony vocals, Alex Turner on maracas, Marc Bolan on piano, and Roy Orbison on lead vocals. We would close the show with a tender but rousing rendition of the 1973 chart-topper "Forever And Ever" by Demis Roussos.
