Devo is releasing a new album, Something for Everybody, June 15th (that's today)! I am a Devo fan. Always have been. They are one of those bands that I think of as "totally 80s" even though they formed when I was two. Now that I'm old enough to actually read Wikipedia I know that many of the punk and new wave bands I "discovered" as a disaffected teen were just genius influences from the 70s on the 80s alternative scene. (Gush!) However, it doesn't matter when any of my beloved alt bands were formed because I got shit for listening to them anyway. But in Devo's case, I think that shit was rather in the spirt of de-volution, so it's OK.
Bonus! Today you can also listen to the entire album while its streamed to a "live cat party". Which I totally thought was going to be something dirt
