CD Review: Colbie Caillat, All Of You

Colbie Caillat doesn't break any new ground on her third album, All Of You, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, you want to turn the world off, put the top down, and sing along to upbeat and peppy tunes blasting through your speakers. If so, All Of You is your soundtrack.

Caillat looks like a beautiful sunny day so it's really no surprise her music would reflect this. All Of You's standout tracks include the first two singles, "I Do" and "Brighter Than The Sun" (my favorite song on the disc); the title track; and "Favorite Song," a song she got Common to guest on. I really feel "Favorite Song," with its catchy chorus and music as sexual innuendo theme, will not only be the biggest song off the album, but possibly the biggest hit of Caillat's career.

Verdict: If you're a fan of her two previous albums, buy All Of You the day it comes out. If you weren't a fan, give the album a listen first, but download "Brighter Than The Sun," "I Do," "All Of You," and "Favorite Song" and don't be surprised if you aren't soon a fan.

Colbie Caillat's All Of You will be released July 12, 2011.
