The Backbeat Band, "Money (That's What I Want)"

Welcome to Day 2 of our week-long look at supergroups. Today's supergroup is The Backbeat Band, formed solely to record the Beatles songs used in the 1994 film Backbeat.

The Backbeat Band might be alternative music's greatest supergroup of all time. Check out the roster:
  • Greg Dulli from The Afghan Whigs (performed Lennon's vocals)
  • Don Fleming from Gumball
  • Dave Grohl from Nirvana and Foo Fighters
  • Mike Mills from R.E.M.
  • Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth
  • Dave Pirner from Soul Asylum (performed McCartney's vocals)
From 1994, here's The Backbeat Band with "Money (That's What I Want)."

Enjoy!
